HELP! Undergarden - Lost my body in the catacombs

Got damaged by virulent mix and died. When I went to retrieve my items, my body was nowhere to be found and there was no waypoint showing the latest death. Does the virulent mix damage the items? Could my body have floated away? How can I retrieve my beloved items?
