Do I ask her out again?

I am hoping to get a woman’s opinion.

Two years ago I asked a girl out and we stopped after just one date. Seemed like both of us didn’t know what we wanted so it wasn’t anything serious and we didn’t reconnect for a second date.

The way it happened was I saw her at a bar with mutual friends and said hey and forgot to ask for her number. Luckily… I thought she looked familiar and checked hinge for the first time in weeks. We had matched and it expired so I immediately asked for her number. But after the first date nothing ever evolved.

But just last week she followed me on IG and I don’t post shit ever lol so I have no idea how to take that. I’ve been told that was her way of trying to “put me on notice / that’s her way of first reaching out”… to me that follow didn’t mean much. Just figured a friendly follow, but the NEXT day I happened to check hinge again and she popped up. I figured why not “confirm she may be interested” and sent a “rose”.

I haven’t gotten any response unfortunately, and I do remember her saying the first date we had how she rarely checks the app and it was fortunate she checked hinge the day I asked for her number.

Idk maybe I’m overthinking it, I want to ask her out but I’m afraid of rejection with us having mutual friends. Should I just text her?
