Caught going 80 in a 55 in Arlington VA. Am I cooked?

Location: Arlington VA

Got caught going 80 in a 55 on the way to Dulles airport.

Didn’t know that 20+ in VA is a reckless driving misdemeanor charge. Unfortunate mistake I can’t afford as a graduating college student.

Regardless, I have to appear in court. Do I need an attorney? What are the best actions I should do to get this charge reduced?
