Help/advice needed

Collections & Charge Offs

I’ve using this sub in the past 6 months to help with rebuilding my credit and it’s been invaluable so I was hoping to get some advice. My husband and I got married last week and now that the wedding is over and I can finally breathe, I’m focusing on our finances in the hopes to buy a house in the next few years. I’m a SAHM, but do side hustles ranging from 1k-3k income a month. My husband makes 6 figures, but when I stopped working to have our baby last year, he panicked due to going down to a one income household. He had a few high balances on credit cards and went with one of those scammy debt management companies. There was a miscommunication where I’d told him initially to do it based on lack of knowledge, but then not to do it after looking into it. A few months later I found out he’d gone through with it. I saw an email on his phone from credit one saying his account is about to be charged off and I told him we’ll just pay it off and I’m looking into his other cards now. I’m not sure if we should completely cancel the beyond finance “help”, and start contacting the credit card companies ourselves, because some people have had okay experiences with those debt repair companies. I have a charge off falling off my credit report in a month or two, and I’ve gotten approved for 2 ccs (capital one savor & the mid level venture) and a car lease in the past few months so my credit is doing well, but I don’t have the income to support a mortgage and I’m desperately trying to save his credit before it screws us for the next 7 years if possible. TIA
