Crawling sensation in inner ear?

I am a 22 year old female. I don’t take any medication. I only take vitamin D and fish oil. I smoke weed to sleep lately just because of this issue. I’ve never had any physical health issues.

This started about 6 months ago. I began feeling a crawling, tickling sensation deep in my inner ear. It really only happened at night when I was trying to fall asleep. It began just as a once in a while thing, not every single night. Uncomfortable, but not really impacting me.

I don’t remember when it started happening consistently, but maybe about 3 or 4 months ago. Every single night when I lay down, I get a crawling feeling. I itch the shit out of my ear every night, which I’m sure doesn’t help, but it’s the most uncomfortable feeling I’ve ever had. It’s not painful (my scratching is what causes pain), it’s just unbearable discomfort and itching. It’s also started happening occasionally throughout the day as well. There’s no specific times, just randomly. It literally feels like there’s ants crawling around in my ear.

I don’t use Q-tips, I just clean out whatever wax is on my outer ear after I shower. I don’t insert anything like that into my ear. I’ve tried ear drops, but found little to no relief. I have no idea what to do and I cannot rest at night until this problem is solved.
