Why does tiktok replace the app I am currently working on on my phone? How can I prevent this?

It's basically the title. I'll be scrolling on Reddit and then Reddit gets minimized and my tiktok app appears.

I think it happens when I get a comment reply, but I'm not sure. Any advice?
