Changed earrings to slightly smaller size - any advice ??
Hello all. I got my second lobes pierced two months ago and just changed my jewelry - the titanium earrings they gave me were really irking me aesthetically and I had gold earrings from when I was little that I changed them into with no pain ! To my eyes, the gold earrings I have are slightly smaller in width/gauge size than the titanium earrings they pierced me with, probably since they’re made for children. Since they were the only pair of actual gold earrings I have and I didn’t want to change wear any sus materials (sterling, brass, etc.) I thought it’d be fine. So far I’ve had no issues but I’m a little worried about my piercing shrinking and it hurting when I try to put in normal sized earrings again. Am I being dramatic ?? Will it hurt to change them to my original size again, and is it worth it to change them now to avoid this issue (although I would probs use sterling silver or stainless steel, which I’ve had no reactions to)? Or should I just let them heal with my slightly smaller earrings and deal with it later. Any advice is appreciated !
