The Evils of Hidden Carbs!

As a T2D, I have been trying Keto with some limited success for past 6 months. I have managed to get my A1C down to 6.2 from 7.1, but my weight is creeping up again. I know it's a combination of portion control and calorie intake. Based upon recommendation of this sub forum, I have been giving the Carb Manager app a test drive. So far, I am impressed in its ability to track the macros of my food intake. While I try to read labels, I have been shocked about the carbs is some foods that one would not expect. My favorite Aldi flavored water has 2 grams of carbs! WTF! I then decided to look at the Kirkland Sous Vide Egg bites that I buy for wife, but I also eat on occasion. Holy cow! Each egg bite (bacon & gouda) has 8 net carbs, so I'm down 16 carbs after breakfast. That's more than half my total target of < 30 grams net carbs. I'm going to continue with Carb Manager and go all in and see if I can 1) control total carbs, 2) control portion size, 3) total calories and 4) avoid pre-packaged foods. Wish me luck. Thanks for letting me rant.
