New out of the box battery issue

Hey so I just got an Instinct E yesterday. And I set it up and all. Charged it to 100%. Put it on, 3 minutes later it told me the battery was low and wouldn’t sync with phone anymore. I’ve done hard resets, factory resets and all sorts of shit. I haven’t played with any settings to turn any activities on or anything. No matter what I do, it will show 100% and then within minutes 0%.

At one point last night between one set of hard and factory resets I did try out turning the backlight as bright as it would go to try to drain the battery a bit and it would still say 100% until suddenly within minutes 0%. Then I turned it off and back on, it said 100%, then said 0%. But then it was at 0% with the screen super bright for like 2 hours but wouldn’t like actually turn itself off. So it clearly wasn’t dead but said it was at 0%. So more factory and hard resets and no matter what I do it drops to 0%. I wouldn’t care but once it drops to 0% it stops syncing to my phone until I plug it in for like 30 seconds for it to say 100% again.

Now like 3 years ago I was given a Fenix 6 Pro Solar and had like the same issues and just stopped using it after a few weeks because fuck that shit. But I have a new cellphone since then and this Instinct is new out of the box unlike the Fenix which did have like a year or so of use.

Any ideas on what to do? Again, even with just factory settings applied I have this issue.
