Reimbursement from insurance for water mitigation?

Hello all! I had a dishwasher discharge tube leak all over the kitchen, so I hired a water mitigation company. They came in, drilled some holes in tow kick, setup and ran equipment for 4 days. I obviously filed a claim, so State Farm is paying for some damages, but they said they would only pay water mitigation company a bit over 4k and the invoice was for $7200, so according to work authorization I signed with mitigation company, I’m on the hook for 3k. State Farm says they overcharged, water mitigation company says those are industry standard charges and they don’t use Xactamate for billing. Water mitigation company says to pay them and then just get reimbursed from insurance company, they say that once I paid for it, it is “damages incurred” and insurance is supposed to pay for it. Anybody heard about anything like that?

Thank you
