Sorrento/Amalfi Coast Itinerary

Myself and my partner are spending a week in Sorrento this June. 23rd - 30th. I was here 9 years ago with my family so there’s a few things that I’ve planned for us to do. This is my itinerary and if anyone has any suggestions or things that you would change please let me know!

Day 1. Arrive in Sorrento in the early afternoon. I was planning on just strolling around Sorrento, relaxing, getting our bearings and having a nice dinner in the evening.

Day 2. I think a trip to Capri. When should I book the ferry? Or can I do this on the day? Have lunch in Capri, go up on the sit down cable car that I was on 9 years ago and then back to Sorrento for dinner. Any other recommendations on what to do in Capri?

Day 3. I was planning a private boat trip with a small group of the Amalfi Coast. It stops in Positano and Amalfi for some free time. I know it’s more expensive than public transport but I feel it would be more enjoyable and less stressful.

Day 4. Vesuvius and Pompeii using public transport. Haven’t looked into the logistics of this too much.

Day 5. Relax. Looking for recommendations on a swimming spot near Sorrento. Doesn’t have to be a beach. Just somewhere nice to swim and relax on the shore while reading and listening to music.

Day 6. Naples. I’d like to get the train to Naples. I didn’t spend much time here on my last visit. Any recommendations on what to do there?

Day 7. Free day. Any suggestions on what to do on our last day?

Day 8. Fly out of Naples.
