Regarding new SD updates

Are they typically fine to install? I’ve seen posts on here saying that the updates have broken their decks or have messed up controls. My 1TB OLED is pretty vanilla, only have added some non Steam games thru desktop mode.

I’ve passed on installing the last 2 updates. Is it safe to assume it would update without issue?
