Short-Term Medical Exposure in USA/EU as an International Med Student

Observership/externship

Hello!

I’m currently a 2nd-year medical student (incoming 3rd-year since I’m in the last 3 weeks of the semester) and I was wondering if a short-term medical exposure/observership in the US would be possible for me?

I just wanted to gain medical experience abroad even though I’m still a student but I’m not sure if there are any available programs for such like me.

A maximum of 4 weeks would be ideal for me and I’m open to paying application fees although it would be better if the fees aren’t exorbitantly high. I’ve been looking at AMO, Brooklyn USCE, and ACE MD but the reviews aren’t really that reassuring given the price.

I was hoping to observe for Endocrinology (specifically dealing with Type 1 DM), OB-GYNE, or General Medicine since those are my current interests. And if there are research aspects as well, that would also be great!

I just get a bunch of ads on Google whenever I search and most that I see on reddit are those that want to match in the US but I just want pure medical experience abroad.

I’m also from the Philippines if that helps. Any leads would be appreciated.

Thank you so much!
