Am I supposed to submit something every week?

I read that I am supposed to submit a 'weekly claim', can someone go more in-depth what that exactly is? I thought I was supposed to just apply to 3 jobs a week and keep them on a separate log. On my account it says I don't have any alerts or tasks, and that my unemployment is active, I have not received my first payment yet but I'm wondering if I am supposed to submit something each week?
