How effective is this regimen for prediabetes reversal?

I am a 23 y/o M weighing about 145 lbs (65.77 kg) and am 5'11 (180 cm) with a fasting glucose with 104 mg/dL. The last time my fasting glucose was taken was about 2 years ago where it was 90 mg/dL, so it's safe to say that I have been prediabetic for about possibly a year now (maybe even 2). Even half a slice of cheesecake will make me feel like literal garbage the next day nowadays.

My goal of course is to ELIMINATE this prediabetes (remission is not enough) and put my body back to default settings where I could go back to eating the same food that got me here (obviously not in the quantities and frequency that got me here) but without having to freak out about abnormal glucose spikes as if my health is on the line.

I have developed a plan to minimize the amount of carbs ingested and to build as much muscle mass as possible along with partaking in intermittent fasting. 2 meals a day, both followed by a post-meal walk. This is something I plan on doing for a minimum of 3-4 months plus longer if needed.

  • Breakfast 9am: Black coffee along with either avocado toast (w/ keto bread) or a 3-egged omelet (alternating every other day) along with a handful of almonds/walnuts.
  • 1 or 2pm: Either a light jog or weight training (alternating every other day) 6 days a week.
  • 3pm: Green tea.
  • Dinner 5pm: This can consist of bean chili with chicken or spinach/okra with roti (a flat bread made of whole wheat flour, which I'm iffy on including). I'm still trying to figure this one out. Maybe I'll throw in some salmon.

I somehow need to incorporate cinnamon in there (either in the form of capsules or just put it in my coffee). I will preclude fruit from this diet unless I have a really bad craving for something sweet which should not happen too often.

I would appreciate your thoughts/opinions on this and if it's good, how long should I do this for to confidently undo the insulin resistance that my body has built up? If there is anything else to add, I would appreciate that too!
