Medium Scale B string question

I’ve recently got a Spector Bantam 5 Medium Scale which I love but I’m finding even with a .130 on the B (which is the heaviest medium scale B I could find) I have to have the action for that string fairly high to avoid fret buzz and flopping.

I want to ask if I buy a long scale heavier string, perhaps 135-145, cut to length, would this allow me a lower action? If not, is there any other suggestions?
