AITAH for taking my daughter to the salon?
For context I’m a single dad (27M) and my daughter (5) goes back and forth between me and her mom’s house.
My daughter has long curly hair and everytime I get her from her moms it’s kind of tangled and hard to brush through, I usually do my best to fix it but my daughter understandably gets upset when I have to.
A couple ago when I got her I saw it looked tangled, I went home and I tried to fix as gently as I could it but she kept crying so I looked up a salon nearby and took her there. When we got there the lady untangling her hair did great and also suggested a trim, it didn’t look like too much but I agreed to trimming a little less. (For more context it went from just about touching her butt to slightly above it)
After I dropped my daughter off at her moms yesterday I got a call a bit later from her mom got upset at me saying that it was inconsiderate to do that without consulting her, at the time I said I was tired of her hair looking like a rats nest and eventually left, but after thinking about it I kinda feel like maybe she was right. Was I inconsiderate?
