Practicing in USA vs Canada

Dental Professional

I’m currently practicing in Toronto, Canada (GTA), and I’ve been seriously considering my long-term options—whether to continue building my career here or explore opportunities in the U.S.

I’m particularly looking at Texas (e.g. Dallas, Austin, Houston) because of the lower taxes and living costs, and also considering Los Angeles, which has a higher cost of living but a large patient base. I’m curious how these compare to staying in Toronto, both as an associate and in the future if I decide to open a practice.

From your perspective, which region offers better financial potential and career growth for a dentist—Toronto, Texas, or Los Angeles?

I’d really appreciate any thoughts you might have.
