Chinola Passionfruit liqueur sub for passionfruit syrup?

I recently found a bottle of chinola paasionfruit liqueur and loved it, and im wondering if i can use it as a sub for passionfruit syrup if i did 50/50 liqueur/simple, or just used the liqueur as-is and ended up with a slightly higher proof drink.

Thoughts?
