I started a social brunch project in my city. Now it's growing fast — looking for others who want to bring it to their own city.
Hey everyone —
I’m Jennifer, co-founder of The Weekend Club. It started as a small idea: what if we could make it easier for people to meet new friends in real life — no swiping, no awkward small talk, just 6 strangers getting brunch together on weekends?
We built a simple system: people sign up, tell us their schedule and a bit about themselves, and we use a matching algorithm to form balanced tables of 6. They show up, have a great meal, and leave with 5 new connections.
To our surprise, it really took off. We’re now matching over 700+ paid participants each month in Taipei, Taiwan, and users keep coming back week after week. It's still scrappy, but it's growing. We will be having new city launched this month in Los Angeles and Seoul with 2 new franchisees.
Now we’re at a point where people in other cities are asking if they can start it too. So we put together a franchise model — low startup cost, all backend systems + materials included, and full local ownership of your city.
If you’re someone who:
- Wants to build a warm, meaningful side business
- Likes bringing people together offline
- Is looking for a project that’s not just SaaS or content
…I’d love to invite you to take a look.
