Dating is giving me a headache part 2

Hey y’all, it’s me again! So this is a continuation of another post. I (26f) had a guy (26m) book some time out of his busy schedule to come see me. He travelled a few hours and took a ferry ride to come spend time with me. He even bout grey sweatpants to “seduce” me lol. Well it worked. Anyways, we had such a great time, lots of banter back and forth. We went out for food and got frisky a few times. When he left I was kinda sad. Like I missed him. He texted me a few times on his way to the ferry and the mall. He called me after I just woke up to talk. He said he forgot something at my place, then he said he didn’t actually forget anything he just wanted to talk to me. It was cute. But then I was like “I should let you go and get off the phone” and he said “you’re gonna let me go when I’m just starting to have some feelings for you?”

I paused and thought about his words for a second. Then I asked him “do you really have feelings?” And he said “I’m just kidding “

So….um… I think it’s too early for me to say I have feelings. But I really like him and don’t want to speak too soon. Um, think he was actually kidding? Or am I overthinking it. I also know he is back to work so texting is not really happening much. It bothers me but I know he works long hours and I let it go. What should I do about the feelings comment? It’s bugging me.
