Arts/Music/Culture 🎭🎶

Hopefully this is within the sub rules as an upcoming event by a local org - if not, mods, please strike it.

What's Happening

Global Response Medicine (GRM) and Home Base (a Red Sox Foundation and Mass General program) have joined forces with the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs to create the Ukraine Invisible Wounds Program. They're bringing together top mental health professionals from Ukraine and leading global experts to develop innovative solutions for PTSD and TBI treatment.

In March, the team deployed to Kyiv to assess rehabilitation needs, and now they're bringing 8 Ukrainian mental health physicians to Boston for an immersive fellowship with experts at Home Base, MGB Psychiatry, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Benson Henry Institute.

The Concert - "Sounds of Healing"

  • When: May 7th, 2025 at 7:30 PM
  • Where: Boston (venue details on ticket page)
  • Featuring: Vadim Neselovskyi, Sheffield Chamber Players, Stephan Zaets, and Harvard Medical School Chamber Music Society
  • Theme: Two Nations, One Promise: Serve Those Who Serve

Why This Matters

As Americans, we've witnessed firsthand the devastating consequences of delaying treatment for invisible war wounds. Veteran suicide rates continue to rise decades after conflicts end. We have a unique opportunity to help Ukraine avoid these same mistakes and prevent decades of unnecessary suffering.

Your attendance directly supports treating 800 patients at the Kyiv Invisible Wounds Center and the development of long-term care solutions for millions of Ukrainian warriors.
