Need to get it off my chest.
Basically, I live in a community which is very fundementalists, i am talking forcing girls ro wear a hijab when they aren't ready, or banning women from working and forcing them to stay home, and so on.
I talked to my father once about taliban, and explained that their version of "islam" and "shariah" doesn't align with what islam actually teaches, and what they do to women's rights is far from islam, he cuts me off saying that no, they are perfect muslims and their society will improve in the future.
When he told me that i just felt disgusted and sad for the rich Islamic history with men AND women who built it and proved that islam supports all rights, encouraged education of both men and women, allowed women to own businesses, to work (they arent not required to, but it's still an option).
Does anyone relate to me in anyway? Because I kinda feel alone. I have been called blasphemous, and I really don't think I am blashphemous, I believe in hadiths and the quran, i believe in all the books prophets and the pillars, i believe in all the rulings of islam, i just differ on how we should approach and go about them, instead of forcing, how about encouraging? Like what is the point of forcing if the person won't do it for god but for another person?
