Question about the Dark Shrine of Memory

Specifically, about it's interaction with Alex. As his final heart event, he renovates the Stardrop Saloon backroom to have a little nook for him and the boys to watch sports. If I get this event, divorce him, and then wipe his memory, does the back room disappear as well?

If not, does he still continue to use it as normal?
