I thought I changed my middle name

For context, I got married 2023. I'm finally working on updating my last name

I'm impulsive and wanted to change my middle name too. When I applied for my social security card I put my "new" middle name and last name. There were no issues, I got my new SS card and resumed life thinking I had a completely new name.

I recently got a new passport and I was pissed because it came with my original middle name.

Turns out... Just because I updated my social security card to reflect my "new" middle name doesn't mean it's truly changed.

How hard will it be to get another new social security card with my original middle name on it???
