[M4F] a love triangle, a slice of life? Seeking a long term RP partner. :)
James and Natalie have been married for six years. Their relationship is comfortable, full of quiet rituals, weekend routines, and the familiar cadence of a well-settled life. Natalie’s best friend, Lexie, has always been close to both of them—especially since she began training for regional volleyball tournaments in their city and temporarily moved into the guest house behind James and Natalie’s home.
Lexie is bold, confident, and breathtakingly athletic. Her days start early with sunrise runs, and her evenings are often filled with stretching sessions or protein shakes in the kitchen while still glistening from a workout. James, working from home as a graphic designer, finds himself catching glimpses of her more than he means to—long legs curled on the patio couch, arms flexed from an overhead serve, or laughter echoing through the hallway after one of her jokes.
The three share dinners, game nights, and summer afternoons by the pool. Tension simmers quietly. Lexie is playful—teasing James with harmless jabs or asking him for help stretching out her sore muscles after a match. Natalie, trusting her best friend and husband completely, is blissfully unaware of the small glances and nearly-too-long silences.
The line between innocent and intimate begins to blur one evening when Natalie is called out of town for a weekend to care for her sick mother. Lexie and James are left alone in the house.
That night, wine flows easily. They cook together—shoulders brushing, breath mixing in the close warmth of the kitchen. Lexie dances barefoot to music while James watches, heart pounding, knowing he shouldn’t. A shared moment on the couch becomes charged. A laugh turns into a pause. And that’s when it happens: the accidental touch that lingers too long. The kiss they can’t explain. The floodgate opens.
But the story doesn’t stop there. They now live with the weight of what happened. Guilt battles desire, and secrecy threatens every bond. Lexie struggles with whether to distance herself or come clean. James questions whether it was lust or something deeper. Natalie, intuitive and kind, starts to sense something is off.
The rest of the story is a slow-burn unraveling of choices, confessions, and consequences. Can a friendship survive betrayal? Can a marriage rebuild after secrecy? And can desire ever truly be contained once it’s been set free?
