what is the smell

hey yall! im having trouble pinpointing what the heck is happening. a few months ago i got a new boyfriend. it seems every single time we have s3x(this has never happened before with my other partners) but i have a peppery smell to my vagina. we use protection and it goes away after a few hours/once i shower. but google has no answers for me.
