Anyone actually using single-use burs like we’re supposed to?

I’ve been in dentistry for a while now, and I’ve never worked in an office that actually uses burs as single-use…..even in otherwise super clean by-the-book practices. We disinfect, bag, autoclave, do everything right… except toss out burs after one use like the manufacturer recommends.

It’s one of those things we all kind of gloss over, but technically we’re not supposed to be reusing them, right? Curious if anyone out there is in an office that actually follows that rule. Is it just cost-prohibitive or do some offices actually build that into their overhead?
