German Cars?

Questions 🤓

I just turned 16, and got my license and my uncle (non-Jewish) gifted me his old 2011 Mercedes-Benz E350, and my mom was very happy for me, but when my dad saw it, he told me absolutely not, and he had a few main reasons, most of which convinced him otherwise on. For a little background, my grandparents are both survivors of the Holocaust from Romania, and my dad grew up in Israel. Anyways, he said that he really doesn’t want me to drive a mercedes, or any german car for that matter because it is “The car of our oppressors.”

First of all, do you agree with him? If so, then should I sell the car, or just give it back to my uncle, but I don’t want to seem ungrateful. If not, should I try to change his mind? How would you do that. Should i just go along with him and sell/give back the car. Keep in mind that i do need a car to get myself to school and whatnot
