Will O’ Wisps
I once decided to step into the wall of fog; As I was unable to escape its sight, Unable to escape its whispers Full of determination; void of sanity I was willing to take the coming agony Willing to sustain my own lacerations Lose anything, if to resurrect the eidolon
Now, as I walk through the fog, I see the apparition Its beckoning whispers soon becoming a deafening scream My pain: its pleasure; I watch it don a proud face
It blackens my memories, dismantles respite, Yet I am still unwilling to let go of this siphon of despair out of futile hope And as I sit in denial, Its veil is shut again
