16 y/o in Germany – How can I eventually make enough money online to travel the world?

Hey, I’m 16 years old, originally from Croatia but now living in Germany. I’m currently in 9th grade, and like most students here, I’m being asked what I want to do after school — either go to a higher-level school (FOS) or start a vocational training (Ausbildung). But honestly, I can’t see myself working a regular 9-to-5 job for the rest of my life.

My biggest dream is to travel the world — not just on vacation, but as a lifestyle — and not have to worry constantly about money while doing it. I know this isn’t easy or quick, but I want to start early and plan ahead.

Right now, I’m really interested in the idea of making money online — maybe through freelancing, content creation, investing, dropshipping, or something else — but I don’t know where to start or what’s actually legit and long-term.

I’m not looking for “get rich quick” stuff. I just want to slowly build up skills, income, and a plan over the next few years so I’m not stuck in a boring job I hate.

If you were in my position — young, motivated, and dreaming of location freedom — Where would you start? What would you focus on learning or building?

Any advice, resources, or personal stories would be super helpful. Thanks!
