I’m 17, overweight and i want to get birth control.

I want to get the implant, like nexplanon. I’m not good at taking pills regularly, i always forget. Although i was wondering whats are some people’s experiences with nexplanon, who also happen to be overweight or obese? is it effective? Did you have any side effects?

My best friend got nexplanon, and her periods were so irregular. She bled for like 11 months straight with a week or a couple weeks here and there with no bleeding. She’s not overweight although she’s in the “normal” weight range. Honestly have no idea how she handled that.
