seeking advice!

hey everyone i have pretty bad gum recession (2 front bottom teeth) and im very embarrassed about it but wasn’t financially able to do something until now.

i’m seeking advice on what would be the first step? do i go to a regular dentist or should i try to go straight to a periodontist?

i also haven’t been to the dentist in 10 years (again, couldn’t afford to). so im just not sure what steps i should take. 😔 idk why im so embarrassed, i just feel like the dentist is going to judge me 😭
