my experience with tariffs

I've seen a lot of concern over the tariffs recently and I wanted to share my recent experience, if it helps anyone.

I received 2 packages from Buyee recently, one on May 3 and one on May 2. Both packages were valued under $800 and were shipped via FedEx. I didn't have to pay any extra fees at all even though some of my items were manufactured in China. I'm assuming Buyee puts either Japan or no country as the country of origin like others have said. There was also no delay in getting my packages on time.

However, in the past, when I've shipped packages valued over $800, I've always had to pay over $150 in import fees. I believe the fees were so high because I was purchasing clothing. I'm not sure if that fee will go up now, so I'm extra careful to split my packages.

I hope this helps someone, I've seen a lot of questions about how the country of origin is labeled and fortunately I personally did not have any issues. :)
