Milwaukee over Chicago?

Moving to Milwaukee around end of June to get a good balance of city and outdoors stuff to do. I’m 29M, working a tech job that’s remote and want to take advantage of it while I can.

What’s the dating scene like in the city? Which neighborhoods should I be looking at to rent a place? If not Milwaukee which other place in Wisconsin would you folks suggest to move?
