struggling with adult & womanhood

I still feel the need to run to my mom whenever something goes wrong, even though I'm almost 25. its so embarrassing. the older I get, the more childlike I become, I mean, I do feel like my age, but I act like a child…? all I want is to go back to being a little girl and not feel like a burden for wanting the protection and love of my parents. my mind still works like that of a child, I look for a mentor, a mother figure in every older woman I meet, and I hate it so much. I can't even make phone calls sometimes because I'm just so scared everyone and everything. how do other women just function? I see women on social media, mostly younger than me, doing things I could never imagine myself doing. just experiencing life, taking risks, living independently, socializing, just letting things be, taking action if needed. they all seem so confident, so pretty, so strong, carefree, and so normal. and many women here as well, despite the loneliness y'all are dealing with, most of you are so independent and strong, and I admire that so much. It's so hard to live such a loveless, lonely life, all on your own. how do you all do it? I know this is kind of off topic, but being like this is one of the main reasons for my loneliness.
