Mobility Tricks

Curious what mobility devices or other tricks people might be using to assist with pain and the walking that can't be avoided with everyday life. I have a cane, but it doesn't really seem to help. I've tried different kinds of insoles. I use a cart as a walker in stores even if I don't need one. I've wrapped my heels in Salonpas and that seems to help a bit.
