Really what is the risk to this.

So I intend to use a chastity cage like every once in a while, maybe once a month for a couple of hours.. Maybe a flat cage or a small one. Is that like a real risk to it? I really mean it because I like the feeling and the idea, but I really don't want to unknowingly hurt myself or harm myself long-term. I am 6 inches tall, also. Is it a risk if I only do this rarely, as I said?
