My 25 month old clenches/shakes his hand and arm when excited or concentrating.

To preface this, I am calling his pediatrician this week. However, I was wondering if anyone else’s little ones do this. When my 25 month old gets excited, his arms and hands shake or clench up. He also does it when he is really concentrating on something (for example: when he colors). It doesn’t last long. But I notice it a few times a day. One time, he had he hose and the water was cold and he did it. But it’s usually if he is excited or surprised by something. He is fully conscious when he is doing it.

My sister in law is an early childhood interventionist and is not worried in the slightest. My mother in law said my husband did the same thing when he was this age. But my six year old never did this, at least from what I can remember? My 25 month old is generally happy as can be when this happens. It’s the weirdest thing.
