PSA: ask your AD if they give a discount

I have been looking to get my dream watch from Cartier. In fact we were visiting Paris this summer, but the price increases and worry about customs, we decided to pull the plug here.

I called a few ADs, while none in my city, 2 in nearby cities (~2 hour drive) were willing to offer discounts. One had the model I wanted (2 tone Panthere small) and offered me a 10% discount.

We went over the weekend and the watch was less than MSRP.

Watch cost: $8350 Discount: 10% (835) Tax (on price after discount): 577 Total: 8092

Glad the news of price increases came out. Got my dream watch after much postponing
