Should I have doubled my antibiotic dose?

For context, I began taking amox-clav after getting prescribed it at urgent care for an infection in an impacted/cracked wisdom tooth.

The pain didn't subside much, and after 4-5 days I began experiencing burning and itching in my mouth. Urgent care gave me 7 days 300mg clindamycin. This helped most of the pain and the burning and itching.

I got an emergency dental appointment after six days on clindamycin. The dentist confirmed that the tooth was still infected and recommended more antibiotics. I told him I was on clindamycin, but he was in a rush and I didn't tell him the dosage. I got prescribed 150mg this time.

On my second day of the 150mg dose, I woke up with the burning feeling and some mild pain in that tooth. The office and urgent care is closed today, so I doubled up on the 150s for my morning and evening dose.

I don't know if this was the right choice, but I'm very fearful of this infection spreading.
