We have a labor shortage in the manufacturing sector and a huge prison recidivism rate. What if the govt made a reentry pipeline that gave released prisoners jobs in manufacturing?

The president wants to reopen alcatraz which got me thinking, the prison system is a mess and people keep ending up back in prison once they’re released so how can we make sure that doesn’t happen.

That’s when it hit me, a pipeline from prison to job for jobs not getting filled like the ~500,000 manufacturing jobs the US has that no one wants? That’s way people would be able to get financial help right out of prison and theoretically lower the recidivism rate. Any thoughts?
