Mechanics who switched to sales. Would you recommend it?

I am a Journeyperson mechanic at a dealership. I absolutely HATE the service side. I did work in marketing for two years at an auto group and I enjoyed that. It just didn’t pay well.

I know car sales is not the end game job for many. But would you recommend it as a pivot from service to sales while I figure out something entrepreneurial?

I am also open to and looking for other options such as teaching. Those jobs are a little more hard to come by.
