Returning to the series after burnout

The last full pokemon game I've played was pokemon Y on the 3ds, beside that I have quickly tried legends arceus and let's go pikachu but for the longest time I have felt an extreme burnout of the series, but now I want to get back into it, which game would you recommend me to play?

P.S. i've played pretty much every pokemon games before X and Y, but I'm fully willing to replay
