Season two is emotionally lackluster
This is not about Bella Ramsey (she's a phenomenal actor) or casting or the stupid "wokeness" criticisms people have been dragging on the show. My gripe is that season two doesn't come close to capturing the emotional desperation of Ellie's journey as depicted in the game. As a self proclaimed part 2 lover, I simply don't feel that the show is doing a good job of demonstrating Ellie's character in the wake of Joel's death. To me, part 2 was like a gaspar noe film - pure horror, pure emotional honesty at the expense of the viewers comfort. I have yet to feel uncomfortable by the series whatsoever. Maybe this will change, but I just wanted to say that there are valid criticisms of the season beyond stupid bigot ideology.
