Home phone with Atel V810V

Last week I received an Atel V810V from US Mobile to replace my Moxee home phone unit. Before ordering I sent an email to support asking if the Atel unit using the Warp neetwork will have both inbound and outbound caller ID and if I would be able to enable Verizon spam filtering to cut down on spam calls.

Their response was as follows:

"Caller ID: With the Atel Home Phone base on the Warp network, both inbound and outbound caller ID should display names.

Spam Protection: Correct! On the Warp network, we can activate the Spam ID feature, which will help identify and filter out potential spam."

After setting up the Atel I sent an email to support asking to enable caller ID and the Verizon spam filter and was told that I can have one or another but not both. I'm not happy about that but I told them to enable the caller ID for now.

The caller ID never displays anything other than a number even after contacting support two times about the issue. I also had them enable caller ID on my main cell phone line and as far as I can see it is not working on that line either.

One other problem with the Atel unit is that it gives no indication of a call that has gone to voicemail other than the missed call listing. According to the Atel docs there is an indicator icon that shows up for missed calls that should be on when a voicemail is available. Also there is no stuttering dial tone as the Moxee has to let you know of voicemails, so the only way to know if you have any voicemails is calling the voicemail number after seeing missed calls to see if anyone has left a voicemail.

I would like to find out if caller id, the Verizon spam call filter and voicemail notification can be made to work while I am still within my 15 day window to return the Atel unit. I would also like to know if it is true that you can not have caller ID and the spam filter at the same time, and if not, why are customers not told until after purchasing the Atel unit?
