Vulture St Cycle Path upgrade

There were a few mentions during ABC election coverage from the LNP representative of how well regarded BCC mayor Schrinner is. It got me thinking about a few promised upgrades that don’t seem to have come to fruition.

The big one for me is a separated cycle path along vulture st. There has been loads of consultation, and I think I remember seeing draft plans at one point. Does anyone know if this is actually going to happen? It would be such a win for active transport between woolloongabba and west end.

As a side note, here’s hoping the cycle and pedestrians lanes on the story bridge open again soon. In the meantime what is the best way to get from the city botanic gardens near the new bridge back to the story bridge (avoiding car traffic)?
