Best Neighborhoods for Early 20s?

Hey everyone, I know this question gets asked a lot, but I’m hoping to get some updated opinions based on my situation.

My lease downtown is up at the end of July. I’ve liked living here, but I recently started a new job in the Sewickley area and no longer work downtown, so it’s not as convenient anymore. The job is hybrid, so I’m only commuting 2–3 times a week, and I’m open to living a bit farther out if the neighborhood makes sense.

Right now, I’m looking at areas like Avalon, Bellevue, Millvale, and Lawrenceville but I’m open to other suggestions too. Budget is up to $1800/month.

I’m in my early 20s, so I’d love to live somewhere with a bit of walkability and community. I still like going out to bars and doing stuff on the weekends, but I’m not out every single weekend, so I don’t need to be in the middle of everything like Lawrenceville. That said, it would be nice to be close enough to some local spots, and I’m totally fine with driving/ubering if I want to go out somewhere busier.

I’ve heard good things about Avalon/Bellevue/Millvale but wanted to hear from anyone currently living there. I know what to expect with Lawrenceville, so I’m mainly just looking for thoughts on other areas. Currently leaning more toward renting a house over an apartment complex just to have more room/privacy, but it’s not a dealbreaker.
