Could AI models have unwittingly seen classified U.S. documents?

We know Trump has expressed interest in AI and technology in general. Given his… unconventional approach to information security, is it that far-fetched to imagine he might have used an AI tool (like ChatGPT or a custom model) to help summarise or draft policy ideas using classified material?

If something like that did happen—what would the implications be? Would the AI technically “know” state secrets? Could it pose a national security risk if those models are later fine-tuned or accessed in ways that leak sensitive knowledge?
