It feels like the final straw even though it wasn’t the worst outburst he’s had.

Vent/Rant/FML

My husband was on a two month long work trip in which he visited home twice, once when our oldest got into trouble at school and second when we had a pet sitting emergency. He’s willing to do things but gets upset about them. Resentful. I was so excited to see him, we had an amazing intimate reunion, and in general I let my guard down completely and went the extra mile to make him know he was missed and loved with extra affection and kind words. Because I wanted to and I want the person I love to feel my love authentically. The next morning the kids are being kids (ours are in a bickering phase) and when that started he dealt with it poorly. He snapped after getting so frustrated with an 8 year old and a 5 years old repetitive poor choices that he yelled in their faces, punched the fridge, and said he wished he could’ve stayed but other companies needed their area… I am hurt. For reference he has a pattern of this behavior but it’s sporadic. It always comes when he’s too wrapped up in his own misery or thoughts and this time I do not accept his apology. I feel like the fool for being so in love and allowing myself to be vulnerable because he will never give me that and he essentially said he wished he didn’t have to be here. I’m so hurt. It feels different this time like I have no tolerance for emotional immaturity. What do you all think? Is this major or should I work on this? Not sure I have a choice. Thanks.
